Bucklebury Slade RG7 6TE click for map Parking on the green at The Slade.  Trail hunting
normally starts on Bucklebury Common and later in the day may end up in the Pang Valley
towards Stanford Dingley, where there is good jumping.  Suitable for children of all abilities.

Bromsden Cross Roads  click for map
Travelling on the B481 from Highmoor Cross towards Peppard, take the first on the left and
where the road bends sharply to the right, carry straight on and over the cattlegrid, heading
towards Bromsden Farm.  Park on the grass over the cattle grid and hack to the Cross Roads
from there.
Fun jumping over small post and rail fences, lots of grass and woodland.  Fun for children.  Easy
to get about if non jumper.

Some island fences, suitable for everybody.

Brockhurst School, Marlston
Parking at Marlston Farm - see below - then very short hack to the meet.  Good lawn meet
covering the Pang Valley with plenty of Jumping including some decent hedges.  Mostly grass
and easy for non jumpers to get about.  Good viewing.

Chalkfield Cottage, Chartridge, HP5 2TZ   click here for map
Type of country: Woods and tracks. Hunt jumps with alternative routes for non-jumpers.  Parking
is at the meet.  From the A416 in Chesham, take the Chartridge Road (signposted from the A416
in Chesham centre) and follow it up the hill, past the old Chartridge village. Go past the
conference centre on the right and Chalkfield Cottage is approximately 500 yards further on the
left.
From the A413 at Great Missenden, take the B485 towards Chesham and turn north onto the
A416 in Chesham (towards Berkhamsted). Then follow the Chartridge Road as above.

Parking is at the meet in a field.  
From the A404 in Amersham, follow the road towards Chorleywood until you see a sign for
Greathouse Farm on your left. Turn into the farm drive and park on the left.
From the A404 in Chorleywood, follow the road towards Amersham until you see a sign for
Greathouse Farm on your right. Turn into the farm drive and park on the left.

Cholesbury Common, Cholesbury  HP5 2UH  click here for map
Type of country: traditional Old Berkley Boxing Day meet. Farmland and woods. Varied jumping
with alternative routes for non-jumpers.  Please phone the Hon. Sec. for availability of parking at
the White Horse pub which is a 10-minute hack from the meet.
From Chesham, go north through Chesham and onto Chesham Vale towards Cholesbury. The
meet is on the common, by the pub called The Full Moon.
From the A41, take the turning signposted Wigginton and go south through the village on
Chesham Road and past Wigginton Bottom. Take the first right towards Cholesbury and the
common is at the end of this road.

Cold Piece Farm, Mattingley RG27 8LQ click here for map
Children's meet, lots of island fences, therefore suitable for jumpers and non-jumpers.  Loads of
jumping for the keen jumping child but ideal for a child on a leading rein as well.  Adults welcome.  
Nice lawn meet when held during the main season.

Collins End  click for map
Meet at the cross roads, parking right by the meet.  Lots of lovely eats and drinks.  Woodland
trailing with some jumping around the outside.  Fence building programme planned for 2006/07
season to open up what should become a fun jumping meet.  Suitable for all standards.  

Copyhold Farm, Goring Heath  
Please note there is limited parking at the Farm (site of Goring Heath Horse Trials) so please
park at Collins End (which is more central to the day's country) - see above - and it is a short
hack to the meet.  Lovely lawn meet by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Greig with excellent
jumping covering much of the same country as Collins End with lots of new fences, as above.

Best hedges in the former G&SB country to get you warmed up.  Non-jumpers can get about.  
Open country for the first couple of hours followed by woodland.  If you have jumping horse, you'll
have a lot of fun.  Suitable for older children who can jump and later in the day everybody can get

Lovely meet mixed open and woodland suitable for all riders limited jumping but good viewing of
trailing.  One of our better meets.  Renowned for Amanda Stewart's birthday breakfast (bring a
bottle (or two))!.  Parking at the meet.

Englefield click for map
Lawn meet, sometimes hosted by Sir William and Lady Benyon in the court yard of the historic
mansion.   Parking in the village.  Trailing normally begins in the park and continues in the Pang
valley going towards Bucklebury Common.  Lots of jumping for all abilities, easy to get around if
non-jumper.  Some very substantial hedges for the bold.  Good fun for children.

Hawthorn Farm, Chesham, HP16 0RL click here for map
Type of country: Grass and farmland. Jumping is rails, hedges and cross country fences  with
alternative routes for non-jumpers.  Parking is usually at Lower Hundridge Farm (1 mile past the
meet and on the left from Great Missenden, or 1 mile out of Chesham on the right) but please
phone the Hon. Sec. for confirmation first. It is a 10-minute hack to the meet from there.
From Great Missenden, follow the B485 towards Chesham past Hyde End and Hawthorn Farm is
on the right about half a mile further on.
From Chesham, follow the B485 towards Great Missenden and Hawthorn Farm is on the left
about two miles from Chesham centre.

Open country with hedges, post and rails and cross country jumps.  Jumping meet but non-
jumpers can get around easily.   Parking at the meet.

Open country, to enjoy the country fully you need to be able to jump but there are ways round for
the non-jumper.

Holmesley, Jasons Hill, HP5 3QW click here for map
Type of country: Grass and farmland. Hunt jumps with alternative routes for non-jumpers.  
Parking is at the meet. It is accessible only from the Chesham-Bovingdon road so if you are
approaching from Chesham, go past the meet, turn left at the end of the road and left again into
the field. If you are coming from Ashley Green, you will see it before you turn right into Jasons Hill.
From A416 in Chesham, take the turning at the roundabout in the town centre (by Sainsbury’s)
onto the road called White Hill and follow the road to Botley. On the other side of Botley, turn left
at the big T-junction into Jasons Hill. Holmesley is on the left about half a mile along the road.
From the A41 at Berkhamsted, take the exit signposted Chesham A416. Follow the road to
Ashley Green and take the left at the crossroads (just before the church on the left). Follow the
road to the end, turn left and then take the first right into Jasons Hill. Holmesley is on the right
about half a mile along the road.

telephone Secretary for parking.  Woodland trailing suitable for all comers including novices and
beginners.

Lawn meet, often breakfast or tea offered afterwards.  Trail hunting in the beautiful Pang Valley,

Mayortorne Manor, Wendover Dean, HP22 6QA  click here for map  
Type of country: Woods, farmland and beautiful countryside, parking at the meet in a field.  From
the A413 at Wendover, follow the road towards Great Missenden and go past the turning to
Hampden Bottom on the right (Cobblershill Lane). Mayortorne Manor is on your right shortly after.
It is easy to overshoot so go slowly and look for the gate into the parking field.
From the A413 at Great Missenden, follow the road towards Wendover until you see the parking
field on the left. If you see the sign for Hunts Green pointing to the right, you have gone too far.
Again, it is very easy to overshoot.

Type of country: woods with small hunt jumps and alternative routes for non-jumpers; beautiful
countryside.  Parking is at the meet.  From the A413 at Great Missenden take the A4128 to Great
Missenden. Turn right at the first roundabout, then go straight over the second. Take the left fork
(Rignall Road) when the road splits, go over the railway and follow the road. Go past the sign to
Hotley Bottom and take the next left (signposted to Prestwood). Follow the road round to the
right, go straight over the crossroads and you will come to Great Hampden. Go past the
Hampden Arms on your left and take the second left. Over the next crossroads and Monkton is
on your left after a few hundred yards.

Plenty of grass and mixed woodland, some jumping along the edge of the Kennet Valley.  Often
offered breakfast afterwards.  Lovely meet for all abilities, children really enjoy it.

Painesend Farm, Tring, HP23 6JU click here for map
Type of country: Open farmland/wooded areas. Hunt jumps with alternative routes for non-
jumpers.  Parking is at the farm.  From the A41 at the Aston Clinton/Tring junction take the Tring
exit and then the first right so that you drive under the A41. Take the second left, follow the road
until you’ve gone round a sharp right-hand bend and the farm is on your left shortly thereafter.

phone the secretary for parking as there is no parking at the meet or in the village.  
From the A413 in Wendover, follow the road towards Great Missenden (about 1 mile) until you
see a sign pointing left for The Lee. Turn left here and follow the road through Kingsash and into
Lee Gate. At the crossroads turn right and The Lee is approximately 1 mile along the road.
From Great Missenden, take the B485 towards Chesham and turn left opposite the restaurant on
the roadside called Annie Bailey’s. Go straight over the crossroads in South Heath and take the
next right at Hunt’s Green. Take the next left and the Lee is a few hundred yards ahead of you.

Lovely lawn meet on the Green by the Pub who give us a warm welcome.  Lovely open country
with some woodland and plenty of jumping.  A super day for children and anyone can get

Spectacular downland country with wonderful view, no jumping, suitable for everybody.  Some of
our most open country.  Our hosts have been associated with the hunt for many years and give

Type of country: Open farmland. Hunt jumps with alternative routes for non-jumpers.
Parking is limited and is on the roadside only. Alternative parking by arrangement at Rose Hall

From Bovingdon (accessible from Chesham and the A41), follow the road towards Chipperfield
and turn right along Flaunden Lane. Venus Hill is the second right and the Dairy Farm is a few
hundred yards up the hill on the right.

and woods. Jumping is rails and hedges and cross country fences with alternative routes for non-
jumpers.  Parking is at the farm.  
From the A41 at Wigginton, take the turning signposted Wigginton and go south through the
village on Chesham Road and past Wigginton Bottom. Take the first left after Wigginton Bottom
to Wood Row, then first right to Woodrow Farm.
From Chesham, go north through Chesham and onto Chesham Vale towards Cholesbury but
take the first right fork in the road. Follow the road over the crossroads and towards Wigginton.
Go past Champneys on the right and take the first right, then first right again to Woodrow Farm.
